Just got a synodontis notatus or nummifer He is 5ish inches and is very very skinny (bought at a auction in bag couldn't really see the lack of a belly). How do I fatten him up he is in a 125 with 2 emperor 400 filters, haps and peacocks. They get fed New Life Spectrum. I have had him in the tank for 24 hours and have put NLS right and left in front of him, his barbels have touched the food and his mouth is over the food (2mm) but never even tried to eat.

Just saw it eat 7 pellets and my mom informed me that it at last night. Sorry false alarm, and I know don't over feed or let it specifically eat to much to soon.
I've not heard that heavy feeding can be bad. Good job and good luck anyway. You must have introduced him to the right water and the right way. The fish often can take days or weeks to adjust and only then start feeding. Come back with pics, please, if you will.
