What's up guys. I have a 12 inch titanium flowerhorn and he has become lethargic and has kinda stringy crap. I've checked my water params and all is legit. He started out starring up at the top of the tank and now he seems to be resting on the divider.. What should I do

Stringy poop = internal problems.

What where the param readings?
Has anything new been introduced to the tank, or any feeders? This will help answer your question.
In the meantime, Give him some salt. 1TBS per 10gallons.

Yes, sounds like an internal parasite. Has he been fed any live feeders lately?

Thanks, if he has internal parasites what should I treat him with?

No I only feed my flowerhorn's pellets. Would the salt harm my other flowerhorn and/or kkp?

I think I figured it out. My son turned my filters off. I plugged them back in and did a water change. He's swimming now. Should I still add salt?

Prolly, but first do a big water change IMO, depending how long your filters were off, what kind of filters, and how much BB is in your tank, there may be a build up of ammonia in your tank.

Keep an eye on his feces. If hes not eating much, bloated stomach, and pooping white good chances theres is parasites in him. I dont advice using medicines unless you know theres a problem, they are very harsh on fish.

Salts very mild, Most fish enjoy an occasional salt bath from time to time.

*BTW answering our questions above really helps narrow down the problem, But im glad you fix it.

Thanks, I have him in a 125g with a fluval 405 and a aquaclear for a 75g. It's just him a kkp and a 5 inch red dragon. Ok I'll take the advice.. Thanks guys
