Need Help with OCEAN CLEAR canister

Using Teflon tape, thread the
inlet Hose Adapter into the 3/4" threaded hole located at the top of the Filter
Body. Insert the outlet Hose Adapter into the 3/4" threaded hole located on
the side of the base of the filter body. Do not over tighten the Hose Adapters.
This means the side top is the inlet and side bottom is the outlet, which it appears is how the diagram has it.

This is how it works water comes from the tank to the pump then to the canister, water enters to the canister from the top and exit from the buttom to the next canister top again and exit from the buttom back to the tank, couple of tips don't put to much teflon 3 to 4 turns don't over tite, do it with you're hands i crack one because of to much teflon i put c clamp around the inlets before i titen now it will prevent cracking also you need quik disconet before and after the canister also before the pump i will be very conveniance when i comes to service the canister as usual mechanical first then bio, i used panworld 50px as a pump or a ps3 dead silence pump i change pumps the ps3 in winter because it's cold in here this pump raises water temp also for the noyse i'm more indor, i run two canister inline first it's a 25 microm follow by second canister fill with eheim lava media and still have plenty of water back to the tank next time i will conect another unit with more bio because i think flow it's too much and bacteria won't cultivate as quick as i want. Finally i have to say i love this filter i also have eheim 2262 2260 2250 and i prefer ocean clears water cristal clear with the microm easy to mantain last forever have also an extra microm for service clean them in a bucket with a bit of clorine, or sometimes just rinse with a garden hose and buck again i hope this help you good choise
