Been in to peacock bass for the last 4 years and finally got my first orange cheek pleco. Can someone tell me what they like to eat, water conditions, if they need heater, and wat size minimum tank they can live in. Mahalos to the responses.

Yes they need a heater! If The Pleco is small then a smaller tank will work for now. They need softer water and p.h. Around 7 or a little lower. They like to eat wafers and zucchini and cantaloupe and like to chew on wood have a decent amount of wood in there too
Mines love sinking carnivore, massivore and i mix it up with some algae wafers. Got him bout the same size as yours and now he's round 12". Goodluck and great to see another hawaiian in here.
No it will not harm anyone. It might be a little messy that's all. I hold mine down with lead plant weights.
congrats on the new pleco. Ive kept one for a few yrs; it died recently. I took a chance & purchased an adult (12"). they are really mellow fish. as they get larger they will show a greenish brown coloration with green being the dominant color. with the black dots on a greenish body, orange on the caudal penducle & dorsal fins its a nice show piece.
