I recently bought two plecos(quite cheap for their size:headbang2) and I'm pretty sure they're common plecos. But they seem to have different coloration, so I was wondering if they have the same L-Number. Anyone like to shed some light on this?

First picture is that of the larger one at 12" give or take an inch.
The rest are of the smaller one at around 10".

Thanks!

I really like the second one. Is it what I think it is?

What do you think it is?

I think the first is either Pterygoplichthys disjunctivus or Pterygoplichthys pardalis. I too like the 'plain' look of the second, again I think its some sort of Pterygoplichthys, the lack of markings is unusual.

I think the first one may be a Pterygoplichthys pardalis but I'm also lost on the second one. It's almost like a hybrid. Try to get belly shots of both.

first one is P. pardalis no doubt. im stumped on the second one, but it appears to have small slots for odontodes, leading me to believe it is not a pterygoplichthys or hypostomus sp. ..... how big is it?

10"

Sorry, couldn't get any pictures of the belly. These plecos only suck on the bottom all day long. And the bigger one either stayed in the same spot for the past 24 hours or he has natural talent for getting back into the exact spot.

And it's not blue eyed. Both of them has the same bluish look. :irked:

Also, I found something weird today:

There are patterns on the tail! Now this is really really crazy. :nilly:

I seem to come across some worms(not sure which type). They're red and real small(about 0.5-1cm at most. I can't take any pictures but are they good or bad? One of the plecos has a small wound so.....

Are u sure.. .It really looks like a blue eye, could be a hybrid from the Blue eye...
