Exactly! That's how I have learned everything I know about keeping fish. Either I read, youtube, or simply come here and ask questions. But during my water cycle battle I was doing the water changes as I said. And then I thought about it and realized why not take water from a already established tank? So this is what I did. I was doing 20% water changes daily on my tank and then twice a week I would do one water change of about 30% and I would fill it back up with water from the already cycled tank. This actually worked extremely well for me. Not too sure if it was a good thing to do or not. But, within a week the Ammonia, Nitrite, and surprisingly the nitrate levels all dropped. 0,0,10I am always interested in other cichlids. It how I learned most of my fish tank experience.
