Hi everyone! I’m in the process of setting up a new tank for my monster fish and could use some advice. I want to ensure the setup is perfect for their size and behavior. From filtration systems to tank mates and aquascaping, I’d love to hear your recommendations. Any tips or insights from experienced keepers would be greatly appreciated! Looking forward to your feedback and suggestions. Thanks in advance!

How big is your tank for your monster fish? 1,000 gallons or larger? Large tanks usually have overflow boxes for a sump type filtration incorporating mechanical and biological filtration components. If you have a large tank, you could consider an Ultima II filter which has biological and mechanical components. The beauty of Ultimas is their purging feature which makes filter maintenance a breeze.

I feel like I'm missing something.
What is your "monster fish"?
It seems like your asking for specifics answers with a vague question.

Keep in mind the "perfect" environment will be the native environment they evolved in (with predators removed). Which is impossible for any of us to reproduce. So we all simply do our best to provide acceptable compromises.
