Need help with sump.

So I'm using pot scrubber instead of bioball but all I can find was polymesh scrubber instead of nylon. Would this make a different?

you mean poly mesh, with sponge stuff inside? if so i don't think it'll be that effective. nylon scrubbers have all that surface area because the way they're made.

I bought the big poly mesh one and and has a then sponge

Pot scrubbers wouldn't be mine first choice....2nd or even 3rd...but I would think that the sponge would actually add to the surface area.
