was just setting up my 300gal. got it a little while ago it was used. was filling it up and it started to leek about 6in to the top. on the front right side. it was little but steady. do i just put more silicon there. really up set over the ordeal. really need to save this tank got to much money in it all.. please help.
thanks rod

first off, i would definitely get the water out of the tank. and yes, if you want to save the tank, you will want to dry it all out and then apply silicone to the area it leaked from. make sure that you reseal the entire joint that leaked to make sure you cover that corner. let it set and try again. with 300 gallons, you really don't wanna play around cuz even testing that tank and having 1/3 of it spill out is a lot of water in the house

It would be best to take out all of the water and then reseal it. You could try lowering the water level and resealing the area where it is leaking (make 100% sure it is completely dry, but I wouldn't take that chance my self. 300 gallons is a big tank and alot of money, it would be best not to take any shortcuts.
