ok i always do 25% water changes/and clean the glass every two days and some reason this green stuff always build up and gets nasty...i heard its because of the nitrate...is there something that can kill these off or any fish that can clean this and are able to be put in tank with my peacock bass...they are 4inches

no my lights always on is that the reason...k i will head to lfs for some common pleco but the question is will they harm my peacock bass...or the opposite...

At very least turn it off at night when you aren't watching them. Do you have bunch of live plants? If you don't I wouldn't even use a light but maybe just a lil at night. Lol I only have 2 light for least a dozen tanks.n I have plants in almost all of them!plants will help your problem also. alge has a harder time going when plants are stealing its food.

i had to do every two days cause of tat...and i have to keep the light on so they dont stress...they always stress and color change to very dark so i keep it on

they should be fine in the dark. Just try and theyll get use to it. Most fish it is the opposite and they freak out when the light is on. THe light is most likely what is causing the algae problem.
