can anybody tell me what the sex of this jag is. he or she is about 6 or 7 inches long

is sexing a jag is like sexing most other SA cichlids, than i would say female, because a male would have elongated and pointy dorsal and anal fins

A jaguar cichlid is not a South American cichlid, they come from Central America . I would guess male because of the pattern, but I am really just guessing.

Not always true. Females can develop pointy anal fins.
