I just purchased a Green Arowana which had been shipped to me from interstate. I noticed after a shortwhile looking at it it had a dropped tail which looked kind of odd so I researched it and found other symptoms that it has which were continuously gulping air and releasing air from its anus.
At the moment the fish swims fairly normal no serious angles but after cruising the tank for a while it sits on the bottom alot.

I'm worried it has a swim bladder problem and am not sure about what I can do or what its chances are of survival.

Please help!:eek:

aww! man that sucks
i had read somewhere on the internet about treating the fish with swim bladder prob, cannot remember the site
sorry couldn't help

:ROFL::ROFL:
he did not mean that
i think what he meant was
the aro gulping air frequently and air bubbles coming out of its arse
this is the common symptoms for swim bladder problem
after a prolonged time the fish develops drop tail and then goes to a better place unless treated for
