ok
i just ordered a tank i want to hook up to my system ( the 180 )
the easy way to do it is to have the tank drilled and connect them with bulkheads and hoses

but my sump isent drilled.... im afrade to drill it

so i was thinking get 2 pumps .. one in my sump and ine in the tank..

my question is ''will 2 small pumps work, like 65GPH ? ''

get what im saying or no ?

It will work until one of your pumps fail, then you'll be in trouble.

Is the 180 drilled? If not you can use one of those overflow boxes that everybody sells.

sorry its going from the sump tank to a tank directly next to it
not from main tank to litte tank

where does the water go from the tank next to the sump? And how does the sump get its water?

very difficult to get two pumps to flow at the same rate as each other or one tank will fill to fast and overflow. honestly drilling a hole in your tank will cost you about 20 bucks via ebay. get the glass hole saw and drill the hole slowley and with plenty of water around the bit ti keep it cool. you can use a sheet of perspex taped to the tank to hold the bit in position and tape the back of the glass to cartch any bits (means you can drill with fish in the tank if you'd like) then its just a matter of pipework as an overflow that will garentee to run the same speed as the pump and power cuts will leave water at height of the hole.

dont be scared dude, just drill that fecker! do the job proper
