I HAVE AN AFRICAN LUNGFISH AND IT IS TURNING WHITE AND FUZZY
DONT REALLY KNOW WHAT TO DO TO TREAT IT
IVE TRIED MELAFIX AND IT SEEMS IT HASENT DONE ANYTHING

NEED HELP
ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Get some salt in there...when ever this happens to one of mine I bumb up the salt up to 3% it should be gone in a flash. (to messure this you need a electronic salt meter). good luck...next time when you see a small spot of this "White Fuzzy"stuf treat it with salt right away.
p.s you should also do a lot of water changing...take your time and try to refresh up to 50% each day....and make sure the temp in your tank does not drop.....good luck..I hope he makes it.
(ow and try to avoid melafix on lungfish)
 
if it was white and fuzzy, make sure you use a different med. because melafix is used to treat damaged fins and wounds. sorry for your loss :(
 
Mela fix is gross......Period...I do not EVER need it in my hobby and no one else does either....Salt, Prime, and real meds for new arrivals...All else is just over kill IMPO...
