came home today found my deep turquise discus has one eye with what i can only guess is pop eye:nilly: its like 3 times the original size. Any idea on what meds can cure this? i dont have a QT tank so im workin on isolating him from his tankmates> Thanks.

Yea it happenned to me.. my clownknife had one eye that was looking like it was going to pop out.. it was raised and looked like a ball of puss.. members told me my ammonia was high.. I tested my water and it was 10 times what it was supposed to be.. My reccomendation is test your water.. and if ammonia is high dont feed your fish for like 2 days but do a 50% water change today add salt, stress coat (or water you use to de-chlorine the water) and then do 30% tommorow then 10% and see what happens in about 5 days he should be fine... Just to make sure it is not a fight wound right??

Thanks for the advise. no i dont think it was i fight wound he has been in the tank arround 11 months now and gets allong with everyone, i was away overnight but i dont thing anyone was picking on him. Theres 4 balas 1 redtail shark 2 angels and a keyhole. i have to go pick up my amonia test kit from my friend then i will do a wc

Only clean water quality can correct that problem. Test your water parameters and post the brand of test kit you used to determine its reliability.
