In the tank
I moved my gator gar to an outdoor pond a week ago and he started to eat right away and everything was normal. Then I noticed that he hasn't eaten anything since two days ago. Sometimes it tries to take a pellets but it looks as if it has difficulty opening its month. All other small fish in the water are normal. I then saw something glittering in the water and after examining them, I found that they were alumiumn dust generated by drilling in a nearby area. I put some dust on my hand and found that some of them were very sharp. As they were floating on the water with the pellets and there were a substantial amount of them, it is very likely that the gar has eaten some alumiumn dust with the pellets and caused damage to its internal organs.
Is there anything I can do to save my gar?

Thanks god, it started to eat some dried shrimp again. Although it only eats very little but this really shows a sign of recovery. :)

Is there a way you can put some sorta cover over top to make sure none of the debris gets in there? You identified a problem but just because it isn't causing issues now doesn't mean it won't in the future. Especially with a nice Gator Gar in the mix I wouldn't take any chances.
