Well yesterday I noticed another one of my larger das is swimming funny and see one of his fins is torn up pretty good so I decided to move all the dats I have left into a 135 I had running that was empty except for 2 plecos. As soon as I put them in all of them were 100% stable they look amazing and then I notice the one start turning a more black and white color and know he is just swimming in one spot kind of wobbly looking with his mouth open. Iv just cranked the heat up and added salt is there any thing I can use that will help him if I loose this guy I think im probably going to get out of dats for good Iv lost 1x 10” Indo 1x 8-9” Indo 1x 6-7” Indo 4x 2-3” NTT and a few AT’s last year and already one this year and I couldn’t stand loosing another one.

Might be flukes. Thay can be in a host fish for a long time before any signs and by that time it's usually too late. Symptoms usually start with rapid gill movement and the mouth stays open like it's trying to get more air.

Well I lost him last night he seemed to be getting better than all of a sudden he was gone but I did end up getting another dat last night that’s about 10-11” and thick.

Dude i told you before its either parasites or bacteria infection. I went threw the same. Mass water changes, salt and start treating...Go with parasites first. Do you feed live? And it wont effect all your fish either whatever they have. I hope your new dat is in totally different tanks or he will get it to. GL

Dude I did all of that, I must have just caught it a little to late. I never feed any live to any of the Dats or to any of my fish at all just pellets, krill, and raw shrimp. Nope I have him in the 135 with the other Dats that I have left. The one that died on me as well as the last two I would put in a 55 and treat them separately, I also treated the whole tank just to make sure I got other others clear if they happened to have it to as well.

What do you mean by this, that it wont effect any other fish besides the dats?

The torn fins are pointing towards bacterial infection ....I would do exactly what funwow said.

That’s exactly what I did, maybe I just caught it a little to late.
