Ok guys well i just got some plants for my aquarium and it seems that my fish are getting ick is their a way of putting salt in the aquarium and the plant wont be harmed.. Really need the help thanks guys.

its possible but keep in mind that salt dehydrates the cells inside the plant and the result is death. The concentration of salt is the aspect that impacts on the time it takes to kill the plant.

Salt is made up of two chemical elements that, in minute amounts, most plants need to live: sodium and chloride. In larger amounts, salt will kill most plants. A very few are salt tolerant, including barley and beets and some types of grasses, such as Bermuda grass. perhaps, java fern can tolerate more salt then other plants. however, like i just mentioned the concentration of the salt would be the aspect that borderlines life and death.

if their java fern and ur doing a light salt dose then they should be fine, but any other freash water plant should be removed prior to the dose.

Just use malachite green formula such as Quick Cure. It's safe for plants.

If you have tropical fish, use half the regular dose.
