I'm new to the SW thing, I have a 55 gallon aquarium that is set up for FW. I know to do a saltwater with lie rock and fish I need a protein skimmer my thing is I don't have tons of money, I have like 100 bucks to spend on it and yes I know there aren't that many out there for close to that price but I found a weipro Venturi driven protein skimmer SA-2011 it comes with a pump but I hear people replace their pumps to make the skimmer more effective so if I bought a 500 gph Venturi pump will this make a decent skimmer?
