need help

hi this is my first time .i have 3 clown loaches in my tropical tank and was wondering if it was ok to put in with my malawi cichlids

great mix. my recommendation is to keep the loaches and swap your subrtate for crushed coral or another pH raising substrate and the loaches acclimate to the high pH. i keep loaches with all my africans

should work with them. but the loaches should be able to acclimate to the pH

key here is to do it slowly... otherwise you will lose them...

i have 3 year old loaches. have been with malawi and tangs. moves from two different 30Gs, a 75G and now in my 150G. love my loaches!

would the clown loaches eat the baby fry i seem to have?

small loaches shouldn't mine didn't start bothering fry till they were bout 4"

just acclimate them slowly, they are sensitive to sudden water differences.

Chuck them in, they are quite a hardy fish. Do well in a tank with mbuna as they give as good as they get. My one, 4+in, has never gone after my fry.
