NEED HELP

I was looking at the color pattern on my black convict and he jumped out of my hands and landed on a wood floor well now about an hour later his stripes faded I got him today please help

he stressed out, long as breathing fine and swimming fine, give him some time.

just an FYI handling scaled fish not a good ideal, this includes petting them, it disrupts there slime coat, this there number one protection from infection in the water.

I'm also not completely sure whether he is a boy or a girl my ifs told me he was a boy but it was dark and he is partially colorblind
