I have a 3 year old flowerhorn and he appears to be constipated and hasn't eaten in 12 days. We have tried treating his tank with epsom salt, general cure and now Metroplex. We suspect he has swallowed some of the substrate that we have since removed.

Can we try massaging his belly to help him??

We just want to help him and we sure don't want to lose him!!

You can try and gently massage the belly.

If you mind me asking, how do u take a flower horn to a vet? And what ver would except a flowerhorn?
Call and ask if the vet can see a fish that’s sick. Some vets do care for sick fish. Matter of asking around.

I agree with kno4te kno4te , few vets do treat fish. One of hobbyist I know in Canada is vet and always has some good advice in fb group. I believe there would be more like him.
