I bought it yesterday (about 15-17) they won't eat , is it normaly?
i try worms, small fishes like gupies :( Mayby they need some time , i don't know.

full tank

sorry for the way off topic post because i personally don't know anything about gars- which is the section where this should be, But your tank is stunning, great aquascapeing:D

It is not unusual for fish to take a while before they feed after a move, maybe up to about 10 days with no problem. These are a type of pike characin, family Ctenoluciidae (Boulengerella maculatus) and can get about 12" (30 cm) long. They will like live shrimp, crickets, and cockroaches as well as fish. That is a very nice pair.

no not a pair (male, female) saying pair like two fish
:)
stunning tank BTW

also another reason there not eating is because of your channa? possibly stressing them?

wow nice tank give them a little time and they should eat

stunning tank...hopefully things are going well with the feeding by this point. One thing that i have noticed about gars, pike characins, and all fairly rigid elongated fish is that it is not uncommon for them to go in a frenzy when being introduced to a new environment or even having their environment changed around them once established. Also when the tank is heavily planted and decorated the fish can feel restricted which leads to the head-banging and curvature or damage to the nostril areas and jaws. Once they get a feel for their new surroundings they should be eating plenty.
