Caught 2 4-5 inch fishes from a lake that looks like a type of Bass...

At the same lake I caught 2 large silverish fishes with purple and pink spots near their faces. With a nice set of teeth. They were both about 10-11 inches.

First and last aren't actually natives, but invasives-some type of tilapia
The middle two are green sunfish, Lepomis cyanellus

I think the cichlids are some Sarotherodon sp. maybe S. aureum (S. aurea, O. aurea-found several names for 'em) btw

The sunfish are pretty cool fish. They can be aggressive little guys, but they max out at 6" or less. At my old job, we had a 135 with a 12" largemouth, 10" bluegill, a couple big perch, channel cat, and a little 4" green sunfish easily held his own among them.
The tilapia will probably get over 12"

Thanks for the I.Ds guys. I thought about keeping them but I made a decision to release them, they seemed really stress and I think the Tilapias were spawning cause there was a lot of free swimmers.

Yeah, the first and last looked like blue nile talapia, and the middle like greenies. What lake did you catch them from?

Behind home depot on Bellaire and Beltway 8. Not sure if it's a bayou or a lake but I see people fishing there all the time.
