Looks like an Oreochromis aureus. They are in a lot of places in Florida.

Florida has at least 3 established tilapia species, O. mossambicus, O. aureus, and O. niloticus

i never thought i would see one around here lol

Where are you located? The 3 species of tilapia are in Florida.

Hybrids between O. niloticus and O. mossambicus are notorius for being able to withstand low temperatures and can be found farther north.

O. aureus can also take low temperatures to an extent. O. aureus have been found to be breeding in Pennsylvannia. It is also reported that they have been found in Lake Erie although not confirmed and they do not appear to be breeding there.

Judging by the shape of the mouth, your fish is most probably Oreochromis aureus. (Blue Tilapia)

Here's a distribution map for Oreochromis aureus
