hey everyone. i have these guys running all over the place. never seen them before i moved to the high desert. well this one has been running around the house for a week so i finnally got him and it turned out there an awsome lizard. lots of color. can someone id and give some info on him. i have heard people call them spinny lizards. thanks for all the help

Western fence lizard, Ive kept them before and get them here too. The only problem is they tend not to eat in captivity.

Blue bellies or Western fence swift (Sceloporus occidentalis) get from 6-8" total length. Try 1/4" crickets, they do need calcium supplemants and sun lamps. Wild ones usually carry ticks in there neck folds and earholes, they are small shiny red bugs that can be removed with forceps.
