Just picked this up when I picked up some piranhas. Can someone tell me what it is? All I remember the kid telling me is that it was a male and mean ass hell.

Looks like a midas (amphilophus citrinellus) there are several species that are in the family but the light color and lack of barring and black markings makes me think citrinellus. Aggressive fish , often thought to be a founding fish for the flowerhorn along with two others.Gets real big too and a big hump on the head of large males. Very nice looking.
