Need ID, unusual knife

Just got one of these guys in at work. Labeled a 'ghost whale' by the distributor. Any ideas? I had to take him home, it's not often we get our hands on a fish that I've never seen before. Not the best pics, but it gives a good idea of his body shape, snout, and that distinct mottled pattern.

I seen those before at the lfs a few months back and they was labeled there as ghost whale there also , I have never heard of them before that

Brachyhypopomus occidentalis by the looks of it. Very little info in these guys. A rare find by my standards.

EDIT: I'm still looking just to be sure.

Cool. I'll get more. he seems to be doing well so far. I'll keep updating. Really weird translucent upper snout thing on these guys.
