My friend is going to have a 75gal tank empty shortly - moving his planted hobby to a 150gal. He wants to do something different, perhaps some bigger, aggressive fish or an african cichlid setup. He doesn't want an oscar, since I've got a 14incher in my 75 gal. He'd like to stick with something(s) that wouldn't need a bigger tank later - thus no aro's, CK's, etc. He hasn't decided whether he wants a single huge guy (like a jaguar) or several other not-quite-as-large species. Oddball fish preferred.

Thanks in advance for the ideas.

How about some Red Belly Piranha, he could have a few in that tank.

Well, the Jag is out, it would outgrow the 75. Severums, Geos, Texas, or Parrots. He could also get something like a lungfish or a Ctenopoma.

natives,

warmouth
bluegill
green sunfish
shadow bass
long ear
pumpkin seed
bullhead cats

if you are interested, there are people on this sight who would probably send you any of the above for the price of shipping.

you wont even need a heater
