I'm planning on doing something similar. I want to incorporate two separate mechanical and wet/dry biofilters along with a bog filter. My crude excel representation shows a cross section view with the full length of the tank. This is going to be a 200 gal aro/poly tank. Water will pull from a low level in the main tank, and flow through a baffle system so that it has to percolate up through three different densities of mechanical filtration. It then overflows again through the wet/dry biofilter (bio balls) and lands in a sump like area. This is where the water will be pumped into my bog where plants will rob nutrients from the water before it enters the main tank again. The main tank and the bog are not shown. From back to front it would go Mech and Bio Filter then Bog then Main Tank. I'm planning to make a 3D model soon. If you're interested, I will post it here. Good luck man.
