Need ideas on outdoor pond build

Hello I have this Formed Pond that my cousin gave to me and I plan on using it for a Snapping Turtle....I am completely new to ponds so I am glad I found this place.
I was wondering if anyone else had one similar to this one so that maybe you can show me pics for ideas?

Also any advice on filtration substrate etc...ANYTHING that might help me on the way will be appreciated.

We need specific questions!
I wouldn't use a substrate. Snappers are messy and substrates in pond are hard to clean.
For filtration, just use a large pond filter or a DIY filter with a UV lamp. Nothing special you can do there without much work.
I don't know where you live, but if it gets down to freezing you're taking a risk with a pond that shallow!

EDIT: You're from California I see. I guess it's ok there.
If the snapper is still small I'd also install a net to protect from predators!

Thanks for the info! Yea it doesn't freeze around here we are at 71 degrees right now....LOL! Snapper has a shell about 8" right now he is a decent size.... I would still like to do a net or something so he doesn't escape...
