so the concensus is that as long as it wont fit in its mouth its ok.
so lets hear some ideas. give me some cooler fish i could keep in with my tiger.
my tank is a 150. i was thinking maybe a school of maybe 10 red hook silver dollars or something?

I'm in the same boat. Love those red hooks. My gar does well with my tigers, but a gar will limit you even more, maybe a Boulegarra (mispelled?) pike. Rays, cichlids, Red-tail catfish, Redfin Prochilodus. Blue or Black. Hi Fin Banded Shark. More Dats. If I didn't have my gar, I would have gotton a Leaf Fish by now.

Everything listed in my signature works well. why not an arrowana?

The red hooks would be awesome, maybe some hatchets too. I would also throw some sort of cat, or ray in there so you have the bottom covered too. That would be a very nice well rounded tank then.

i've kept 2 species of knife,bichirs,various peaceful cats(redtails get way too big and will eat even a full grown dat !),medium snakeheads,basically anything peaceful that gets to a good size

any aro wont last in a 150 with other large tank mates
