i wanted to buy some baby arows. pepole have told me to get them bigger so that they wont give me problems but i really dont like to buy fish when they are already big and i want to learn how to acre for them.

i need some info on how to care for baby arows.
what do i have to do different if they still have yoke sacks.

thanks in advance for info:D

You don't have to get them that big, but try to stay away from those who still have their yolk sack. I personally done both and all my arowanas never died on me only way was that they committed suicide....Baby arowanas that still have their yolk sack need perfect water conditions..always keep them alone and not with tankmates.

even a 4"-6" aro is still small but if you do get one with a yolk sac once it absorbs try to get it on extra small crickets.

try to get one without the sac.
they tend to die very easily.
i always buy very young ones and never had them die on me though.
once the yolk sac is gone, feed it small floating foods.
theyll grow pretty quickly.
its better to not have tankmates when that small,
but ive successfully kept small ones with tankmates that arent too active.

It's worth spending a bit more to get one 4-6 in. They are so much more durable. I had to modify my overflow boxes since my smallers could out swim them.

the tank will be only for them. so they wont have any other fish to stress them out. what do i feed them when they have a yolk sac. regular food ?

I would just recommend getting it around 4-6 inches. That way u dont have to worry bout special small food and a small tank.

When and if they still have their yolk sack, you shouldn't really need to feed them anything until the sack is fully absorbed. Once it's gone you could feed it like what everybody else suggested floating foods, crickets, etc....
