Need info on a catfish

I've had a eclipse catfish for about 2 or 3 months now and I was wondering about a few things. First do they do better in groups or alone and does anyone know how big they get because I never believe the pet stores or info online...

sun cats do better in groups in my experience. I had a lonely sun cat and he never swam he just hide.

same they need to be in a group and I ended up trading it to a friend of mine who just had to have him lol so not sure how big they get

Someone here has one at 18" iirc. I'd expect at least 12"

They like to be in groyps and get to be at least 12", usually about 18".
