no problem thats why I point it out! =) what other fish or cichlids or african cichlids do you keep?

and welcome to mfk!!

I currently keep 2 Rbp soon to be 3, I have another half dozen Assorted african cichlids that im trying to research with little luck. So far i can cross 1 species off my list.. I had aksed to worker getting them and he hadent had a clue. And a sale like this i wasnt goin to pass up (like a 1$ a cichlid (babies), and ive had good luck with them so far. I keep the vitals in the tank up to par Ph-8.1 same with the gH... I also keep native fish caught in my back yard almost.. And thats about it.. I kept more varieties in the past, never touched salt water or cichlids so this is a new thing for me... And so far i love em...

Thats cool, if you have a digi cam and can post up some pics I can see if I can help identifiy some of you fish and alot of other members on here know an extremely great deal and can help also! =) So what excatly is native there?

Some Daces (a river type cold water fish) and some catfish right now. Ive kept some really nice lookin sunnies and perch and small trout and hogsucker's (a large algea eater). Ya i have a DIgi cam that i'll use it has a low mega pixel but im sure I can borrow another. About the cichlids they are common ones that i know will be identified without thinking about it. I just want to know for my own account... :)

Welcome to MFK. As ASH says, post some pics and you will get a hoard of members helping you to id the fish. An overall shot of your tank will be great. Enjoy these fish as they are great. I read somewhere that when feeding your cichlids leave your hand in the water for a while. It is quite amazing as the fish come and swim round it. They also have a nibble at the fingers etc. Sometimes quite a bite, but great anyway.
:naughty: :woot: :clap :headbang2

yah if you do that make sure your cichlids are still small my big one bit my finger once and I didnt find it very pleasing lol, but yah as scotty said they will do that and it is neat.
