My LFS has and awesome shovelnose that I want but cant find any info on it. Its labeled as a Jerencis or something very simular.

It looks like a TSN but with alot darker colors, its dark brown with black patterns. Has the extensions of the tail fin like the TSN does.

Ide like to know how big they get. We tried to look it up in this crazy book they had at the store but couldnt find the exact species.

The poor guy is sitting in a little 1ft x 2ft tank and barely has any room to turn around. I want to save him but I want to know what Im getting myself into first.

Thanks so much guys

Rob

Thank you guys so much for the info. I couldnt find the right spelling. Yes I cant afford the Tigrinus they want $900 at my LFS. Its so beautiful Im sure its worth it. But they have the Juruense thats about 7-8in for $170. Is this a fair deal?

Thanks so much CRX. I think Ill be patient and keep an eye out for the cat I really want. But the TSN gets alot bigger usually so Im a little worried about that. Ill be building a plywood custom tank when my bass get big enough, but I want it small enough to get out of my house when we move (we rent).

I also dont like buying fish online, especially when its winter around here. But if its a big rip off then Ill look somewhere else. I have 3 really nice LFS around here with high quality fish.
