Need info on 'Barrel Gar'

We have a couple 'barrel gars' at the LFS where I work. They have a long slender silver body (similar to a barracuda), with yellow markings on the tail. They are currently eating baby guppies.

I can't seem to find any info on google about these guys, but if anyone has any info on: max size, correct name (assuming that if I can't find it on google, it's the wrong name), scientific name, natural habitat, etc...

I didn't recall the black dot near the caudal fin, but that doesn't mean it wasn't there. This pic sure looks like them:

The Hepsetus odoe seems to have too dark of a body color to match the fish at the store, so I'm thinking the Ctenolucius hujeta is what we have. Do you have a site with good info on these guys? Or do you know info yourself?
