need info on GT's + MBU

Hey guys i need some info



I currently have a 100L setup with a 10-12" mbu currently with some loaches botias tetras and barbs. He is well tempered and doesn’t bother with them. Mainly because he cannot catch them. Just wondering if a green terror would get along with the MBU and / if it would attack the smaller tetras. I am after a GT to add some colour if I have to ill get rid of the tetras just need to know if they are compatable with MBU and or tetras. I understand GTS are not that fast so if this is the case I would be worried that my MBU would try to eat him!

Any advice appreciated as I don’t want to spoil the balance of the tank

if you are thinking bout having the green terror and mbu in a 100 litres (!) i would seriously reconsider. Mbus grow BIIIIG and Terrors are a 25cm fish with attitude. If you already have that size Mbu you need a bigger tank before you even think of adding anything else!

That tank is only about 30 US gallons, to small for what you have already.

the tank is way too small and there would be a death of one of the two at some point.

no i wouldn't try it and you need a much bigger tank for the MBU they get 30''

so its 10'' in a 30 gallon can it move you'll need a bigger tank ASAP

Do NOT get a Mbu. Unless you plan on getting a tank that 700+ Gallons.

no no its a 1000L tank! i have a 9x4x4 also which they wil be growing into that currently houses my arowana just wondered if a GT would be able to go with my mbu

if the tank is that big then yes you do have room for a GT...
