whats up every one
ok so i am wondering about a few things. would the beneficial rays that are being emitted from my 10.0 reptile uvb bulb be ''blocked'' out by the glass on top of my tank? my buddy said that uvb is filtered by glass so basically id be wasting my money on those 5.0 and 10.0 bulbs. these bulbs are like 40-50 bucks at petco. i did get both for free from a friend who works there. he gave me 2 of each to try out. he also gave me the long shop light type. what do you guys think?
also- should i use both bulbs? or is one better than the other? i can use as much as i need. i have ballest and all i need to put a few lights on each tank. one frt tank is a 240 acrylic and the other is a 84glass long. i may move the 3'' frt to a 50gal acrylic though. any replies would be appreciated
