Need little help w/ID Trimac or FH?

Greetings all! I have been lurking around for a few weeks gather great info and drooling over all the nice fish! Finally decided to see if some can help me out with determining whether this fish i obtained a couple months ago is either a flower horn or a trimac. It was a Pet Smart special and by special they actually gave me the fish, stating they no longer carried it any more and could not sell it so they had it in the back room in a tank and asked if I wanted him/her. Looking at him/her in the pic looks blueish yet there are times when the green on the back comes out and the stripes are very predominate depending on mood....feeding time. The red has just started getting brighter over the last couple of weeks. What ya think? I sure can't tell the difference at this point think I have looked at too many sites trying to figure it out.

judging from your photo, id almost guess that my FH is a trimac and mix of maybe a dovii, im not 100% sure, mine has the same coloring as yours only the fins on its top and tail has alot more red in it. and it has some more bar's on its side.

It looks like a trimac, but you cannot tell genetics by looking at a fish. If it came from Petsmart assume low grade flowerhorn, as that's what they sold as "three spot cichlids".

Certainly strong with Trimac genes-------But does not look full Trimac to me......

How big is it right now?

it is about 5 to 6 inches just little fellow. lot of personality

looks like a trimac to me, but as modest_man pointed out this fish came from petsmart. so based on past reputation with "petsmart" trimacs. this would be the first i've seen from these "petsmart" trimacs that looks actually like a trimac.
