ok picked up 2 jack dempseys for a 10 gallon for a little there 1/2 big so cute too lol. they seem to be getting along together there already locking lips. Could that be a sign of mating or they too young? also do i got a year to upgrade to a 55 or how long do i got ?

I say you got 4 months or under. You should not have bought them yet, a 10g is just too small IMO. They are not the fastest growers, but neither are they the slowest.
i can't bring it back only if it dies then they test the water and then i can exchange or get store credit.only if they see something wrong with the sater. also theres a tank outside the shop near a trash can with hood and everything just broken glass someone tried to tape glass back up on the side to use but i quess it leaked. so should i look at getting the tank i can just ake it and repair it it is a bowfront big tank.
I doubt u can repair it. I would add a lot of hiding spots, and do weekly water changes of 50%. I would say you have a couple of months before an upgrade is nessesary.
Try binging it to another store. The broken glass will be hard to seal up, I would suggest buying a used tank for cheap within a few months. Ill PM you.
