So my RTC has a horrible habit of eating inanimate objects in his tank which is usually the suction cups on my powerhead or the hood on the power head. Does anyone know where you can buy the powerheads that go on the outside of the tank and have a magnet to spin the fan Online?
I have had to fish suction cups out of his mouth 3X now and usually he has them in his belly for a while. I want to nip this in the butt and replace may powerheads with magnetic ones.

First, I love this line "So my RTC has a horrible habit of eating inanimate objects in his tank". That's why its the best fish in the world, but unfortunately I won't own it since I don't have the room.

Second, what will stop him from eating the impeller unit once he knocks that off? :) lol.

Sincce makes a magnetic power head and they are really high quality. Flow rates up to 3400 gph I believe is the highest but don't quote me on that. A little spendy but worth it. You can buy them on kensfish.com. I have used two now and the later is their largest and it's on my 1400g. It creates a huge amount of current. Very impessive.

Thanks for all the great info guys! My catfish just likes to cause trouble in the tank when it comes to ornaments and anything eatable. I just bought a power head that has one huge suction cup that is not removable and requires screws to take apart. This far he has not gotten it into his belly so I'm taking that as a success!
