Im not sure how long its been but maybe a few months since I got my 6" Retic (disc size) and she is still hooked on blood worms:cry:.

I have tried starving her for 5 days at a time and then give her a full belly of blood worms. I have tried diced market shrimp/silver sides and have also put some pcs in the bloodworms container for a couple days before feeding (hopping the bloodworm juice will motivate her to eat some shrimp/silversides).

Nothing is working (:banher:....)

I dont know what else to try and need more tips

Thanks

There was a really good thread on that in the stingray forum.

Whats the name of the forum?

ya try crawlers it should eat those u have any other rays in with it it usually helps if you have another that will eat shrimp to get the retic to change

just put whole red wigglers in....

soaking freeze dried krill in the black worm goo works great for retics...

grinding pellets up and stuffing worms with them or shrimps...

starving for up to a week ( you know your rays so what ever makes you comfortable)

i will also make my ray food up the night before and allow smelts or silver sides to marinate with shrimps to get rays on them...

clams, cockles, and mussels all were done via starve method and marinate...

add your methods and maybe it can be a sticky for nobody to look at in the future..

try cutting up nightcrawlers, should eat those. then you can work your way to silversides and shrimp.

Tried that... that was a negative. She only chewed them like gum then spit them out all mashed up. I still give her some and she parts them from the Bloodworms (or spits them when no bloodworms are with them)

Have not tried this... yet:D. I have tried other meaty foods but she swims over them, assuming tastes the food and jams:screwy:
