need new top/mid level fish for bichir tank

i am looking for 3 to 4 fish for the upper part of my tank, to add movement and/or color. i would like the new fish to max out at the 12- 15" range (15-20" i would get 1 or 2). the new tank dimensions will be 72L x 30W x 24H.

i only have a hujeta gar on top at the moment.

i have already considered tinfoils and balas but would like some other alternatives.
