Here they are I caught them in the pond in my front yard. I believe the first one is a lmb but I am not sure the second one is a minnow of some sort it is about an inch and a half long.

the first one does look like a lmb.

second one looks like some sort of killi fish

I think the second one is a Gambusia affinis female.

It's not a mosquitofish. It is a topminnow, probably the golden topminnow (Fundulus chrysotus).

I'm going with mosquitofish (G. holbrooki more likely than affinis). I'm not seeing any indications of golden topminnow - wrong body shape, wrong positioning of the dorsal fin and anal fin, not a short and 'thick' caudal peduncle, no blue or gold flecks). Based on body shape, long and narrow caudal peduncle, (lack of) pigmentation and the above characteristics, I am willing to bet that this is a mosquitofish. Also, do you notice the three faint rows of spots on the caudal fin? Most larger Gambusia I see have this..

You're right, Willie. I made a quick judgement based on the red coloration and the lack of a suborbital mark.

Yup a female mosquitofish, most likely Eastern Mosquitofish.
