Need opinions on my V. Argentaes

i have 2 veija argenteas. both bought at from cichlid station at the same time... one was larger when i got them... now they are growing up and getting personalble, just wondering about one. you may have seen the larger in the for sale section, i plan to keep the smaller, b/c of submissive attitude. teh larger is around 7 inches long and the smaller is around 5 inches.
i need opinions on the smaller . it is the same height, and almost 1/4 to 1/2 inch wider but at least 1-2 inches shorter than the other. the pic shows one yellower but thats not the case. only difference in color is the smaller is more grey than black. the whites are bright on both..... im thinking bad breeding...
by the way can anyone sex the severum in the pic?

Keep the bigger one. The smaller may only be submissive because of the larger Argentea sharing the same tank. Once the bigger one is removed he may become a little more aggressive...maybe. But definitely keep the better, larger Argentea. I wouldn't want a short body Argentea!
 
Thats 1 strange looking Argentea. Its either hybrid or deformed. I would advise breeding the Argentea in the forefront, He looks like a nice fish.
 
Based on its short body, odd coloration, and the fact that you said it's thicker than the others, it sounds like a deformity. It probably should have been culled when it was small.
 
thanks for the replies everybody. i think im gonna keep the little guy though. the wife actually likes the little "chode", yeah thats its name.... even though its not a perfect fish its still a good one.... seems to be healthy and happy at least....
