I just bought a 1975 GMC Suburban. The interior is perfect and I don't want to change the color of it. I do want to paint the exterior, but I don't really want to paint it the original color. So if you had this car what color combo would you go with?

do you want something two-tone? if it were mine, id do black with a dark silverish/gray/gunmetal for the inside color. small lift, big tires and black steel wheels. i think that would look sweet!

All black!!!

Nice woodie! :D I think you should repaint the white areas "pearl".

I can't stand the fake wood stickers, this is the main reason for painting it. I don't know what car companies were thinking in the 70's

That's what I wanted to do, but the wife and kids voted me down!!! :(

BTW this is just a camping vehicle so I don't want to put a lot of money into it. If this were an everyday car I would have redone the interior as well. I mainly got it for the 454 engine. My Toyota Tacoma can't tow a trailer.

Yes, I like the 2-tone look but it's not a necessity. I also want to black out the windows.

cool, then i think the following combos look good:

- black/gunmetal
- gunmetal/black
- black/camo green
- black/bronze
- camo green/black
- all camo!!

and you can do those cheapy paint jobs for a few hundred bucks.
