So after I've had my juvi Trimac, astro, I have been rethinking keeping him simply because I'm not sure if he is a true trimac. It's not that Im not sure if I'd like to keep because he's not f1, it's just that if im going to keep such an extraordinary and "rare" fish I would like for it to be the real deal. Now with that being said, what would be THE ABSOLUTE most agressive, good personality, and good looking wet pet for a 75 gallon. Any answers help, I know amphilophus are great wet pets, just curious to see what else is out there! Thanks in advance

Crenicichla sp. "turcha" trout, tapajos, marmorata, or lenticulata . They are pretty much wild caught.

Astronotus cf. crassipinnis

Male istlanum, lyonsi, or male red tiger mota would be what I would personally look at.

Since you seem to like trimacs then lyonsi would definitely be worth a look. They have the same body type and coloration. Ive heard they are a fairly outgoing fish, but I don't have any personal experience with them
