need plans for a 55g stand

im looking for plans for a 55g long stand with a hood something that would look nice in the liveing room

I don't know how to put this delicately... but to be perfectly honest with you if you NEED plans to build a stand for a 55gallon tank then IMO you don't possess the skills necessary to build one...

I couldn't agree more.... 2x4 frame wrap in plywood then paint or stain to your liking.... its really simple... me and my friend took 10 2x4x8 boards and made a stand for my 90 you could park a mack truck on with no plans...

I just built a stand like i would have built a box to skate, just taller and with a cabinet on the front.

use wood.

and screws would help too.

i have a ulgy stand now i was looking for some thing realy nice i just dont wanna spend $500 to get a nice one

2x4 frame clad with pine boards.
It holds 2 40 gallon breeders.
