So i'm currently in the process of converting an old 25G tank into a paludarium setup but was wondering what sort of terrestrial plants would work best in this sort of a setup?

I'm going to be adding plants in the water which has already been some what decided on with the help of a friend of mine who is an expert aquascaper, but just wanted some advice on what would work for dry land...

So any experts here who have any advice please let me know... oh and the land area will be about about 6" - 10" inches from the top of the of tank so really looking for plants that won't grow too tall?

Thanks in advance for any help...

Try contacting hydrophyte.

I dont know if he frequents this website anymore or not, but he is a great guy, and has some great paladariums. His whole plant collection to be honest is pretty neat.

He would be more than willing to help I have to assume, and could also probably hook you up with some pretty neat plants!

If you intend to go with a high humidity paludarium, anubias nana, and barteri work well, but keep the moist. Also, several echinodorus do well, as well as wisteria, and some mosses.

Thank you both for the advice... i'll keep an eye out for hydrophyte to see if hes around, and check out some of the plants WyldFya has suggested...

basically i'm planning on building a tiny waterfall feature so hopefully (fingers crossed) the humidity stays at a reasonable level... although living in Hong Kong that shouldn't be too hard...
